اننا اذ نتقدم باطيب التهاني للفائزين في مسابقة درع المصارف الالكترونية العربية للعام 2011 ، نلفت من يهمه الامر،  بان توفير موقع الكتروني باللغتين العربية والانكليزية اصبح من البديهيات في عالمنا اليوم، لذلك ننصح بربط مواقع المصارف والمؤسسات المالية وما تقدمه من حدمات بقنوات التواصل الاجتماعي ( فيسبوك و تويتر ) وذلك لتمكين الزائرين من ضمان الوصول بسهولة للاطلاع على كافة المعلومات دون الحاجة الى البحث في صفحات متعددة، ان ربط المواقع الاكترونية وما تقدمه من خدمات بمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، لم يعد خيارا بل اصبح ضرورة يجب توافرها،  علما بان اكاديمية  جوائز الانترنت في المنطقة العربية ستعمل على اضافة فئة أفضل صفحة مصرفية على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في مسابقة درع المصارف الالكترونية العربية للعام 2012    

Central Bank of Lebanon wins Bank of the Year Award
and
United Arab Emirates Bank wins the Outstanding Achievement Award
 

The Central Bank of Lebanon won Bank of the Year Award in the 3rd Banking Web Awards Competition and Mr.Ali Nahle received the Award representing HE Governor Riad Salameh with the participation of a large delegation. The huge ceremony was attended by guests from the Arab countries with the participation of Chairman of the Information Technology Committee, HE Parliamentary Samer Saadeh in the presence of representative of the Internal Security Forces Director General ,Major General Ashraf Rifi and HE FouadMakhzoumi. Also the Ambassador of Jordan, Zayad Al-Majali, shared the winners their pleasure along with HE Mohammed Al Gazmi, Ambassador of Oman and representatives from Embassy of Kuwait, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Moreover Microsoft Corporation was represented in the ceremony.

The wonderful celebratory was organized by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy in the Arab region and was attended by a number of banks in each from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan Saudi Arabia Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, at Phoenicia Beirut on the 18th of February 2012

The ceremony was inaugurated by the Lebanese National Anthem and followed by the speech of the President of Academy, Pierre Moukarzel, congratulating the winners and wished that banks who were not luckythis time, to put more efforts on the maintenance of their websites by means of latest technology in order to avoid processes breach occurred recently for a number of banking institutions in the Arab world.

He demanded that HE Samer Saadeh to speed up the work to obtain the relevant laws, adding that the laws in arrears may not be useful in tomorrow and the laws of tomorrow may not be suitable at the end of the week, especially those related to information technology, calling for an emergency parliamentary board to follow up on the relevant international laws and its rapprochement with Lebanese laws along with constant updating.

From his part, Samer Saadeh, expressed his happiness with this Arab participation in the ceremony hosted by Lebanon honoring a number of Arab banks. In addition he noted that the integrated law is being studied in the joint committees, expressing his willingness to cooperate with stakeholders in order to obtain a modern law commensurate with the latest advanced technology.

Subsequent to speeches, Pierre Moukarzel, President of the Academy honored a number of colleagues in the business press and handed them Award of Appreciation, then presented the prizes and certificates of Honor to the winners of Arab Banks. Banque du Liban won Bank of the Year and Bank of United Arab Emirates won the Outstanding Achievement Award.

Banking Web Awards is created to recognize excellence and creativity in Banking services online that would cater to banking needs of public and private sectors worldwide.
